Golf Hummelbachaue Neuss
Architecture: Richard Wichmann, Neuss
The 25-year-old club building is embedded in the landscape of the golf course.
The new building is an independent structure that functionally extends the old building. A new square was formed as the centre of the building ensemble, with outdoor gastronomy, front desk, shop and bistro.
The façades are designed as a horizontally layered structure. Open and closed surfaces alternate. Copper and glass on the upper floor contrast with the materiality of the old building, while the brick façades of the basement create a visual connection to the existing building.
